PRAZINBURK RIDGE updates - Festival selections, Award nom +more!

Another round-up of PRAZINBURK RIDGE news!

Two festival screenings in two days, on two continents!

Today I fly to Vancouver for SPARK and the film’s North American premiere. The screening will take place on Saturday Oct 29th as the short film presentation right before the World Premiere of fellow UE film-maker HaZ’s new feature film, RIFT.

Virtual passes to watch all/most of the screenings, presentations and events can be bought directly from me, which helps pay for the trip, by clicking “Get A Pass” here.

For Vancouver natives or people travelling to the in-person festival, screening tickets can be purchased here.

The film will also screen at the Clones Film Festival, in my beloved second home country of Ireland, but because I’m in Canada I won’t be able to make it. The screening on Sunday Oct 30th will be attended by my Irish family and the film will be represented at the awards ceremony later that night by actor and friend Ciaran Crawford, who plays the Battery Commander and Private Williams in the film.

Find out more about the festival and the screening here.

More festival selections!

With PRAZINBURK RIDGE being a hyrbrid of a sports film and a war film, it seems only fitting that it has found a home in both a sports film festival and a war film festival! Dispatches of War is a war-themed film festival taking place in Kyiv (incredibly), with proceeds benefiting Ukrainian victims of war, and takes place on November 5th-6th, while BCN Sports Film Festival takes place in Barcelona on February 20th-28th 2023.

Performance Award nomination!

More good news came in recently when I discovered the film has been shortlisted in the Drama category for the Performance Short Film awards! The full shortlist can be seen here. The awards ceremony will be on November 10th, so that’s something else to look forward to!
